A trip is created and enters the "Pending trips" queue when an Order is "Confirmed".
A trip remains in the "Pending trips" queue until it is activated.
A trip is "Activated" once at least one driver has been assigned and the time remaining to the first pickup is less than one hour.
To assign drivers to a Pending Trip:
- Click on the Dispatch option in the left menu
- Click on the Pending trips view in the app bar
- Click on the menu icon in the far right of the Pending trip you want to assign drivers to, and then click on the Assign drivers option in that menu; or
- Click on the Pending trip you want to assign drivers to, and then click on the Assign drivers icon in the secondary toolbar under the app bar
- Select the driver(s) you want assigned to that trip
- Add drivers, their phone numbers and emails directly in the Driver assignment dialogue (desktop and tablet only)
- Click Send dispatch to assign the driver(s) to the trip, and to SMS the full trip information to the phone number(s) associated with the driver(s), along with any message for the driver you've added
